As the cheapest model in Yamaha's Concert Series the CG101 has a simple elegance, yet the sound from its spruce/nato body possesses a tonal richness that serious newcomers to the classical guitar will find stimulating.
To cater for different tastes, the instrument is offered in either a gloss or matt natural finish, and there's also the matt MS version with a solid spruce top whose sound maturing benefits more than outweigh the small extra outlay. Whichever you choose, the attractive mosaic soundhole rosette is a standard feature.
